Location Rif is a part of the Taxach district in the Tennengau district capital Hallein.
It is located in the northeast of the urban area in a point between the Königsseeache in the north, which also forms the border between Flachgau and Tennengau, and the Salzach in the east.
In terms of traffic, Rif is accessible from the Salzburgerstrasse in the west, which connects Anif with the city center of Hallein, through the Rifer Hauptstrasse.
